Chief Executive Officer

Bob is a graduate of UCLA, with 45 years of experience operating his own business in consulting and freight management. Prior to incorporation of Freight Management Inc., Bob, president and founder of FMI, owned and founded American Traffic Coordination from 1969 to 1983. At the time, American Traffic was recognized as the largest and oldest 3PL company in the nation. Bob sold his company to Ryder, which ultimately became the foundation of what is known today as Ryder Logistics. Bob helped structure Ryder Logistics for approximately five years, at which time he left Ryder and proceeded to develop Freight Management Inc. He is an expert traffic consultant in rates, rules and carrier options for all modes of transportation, in all 50 states.


Tim Ponder

Vice President

With more than 30 years of experience in the field of logistics management, Tim’s past experiences have included the position of director of operations and director of transportation for a major Los Angeles-based third-party logistics provider operating more than 2.5 million square feet of warehousing and servicing 12 Western states, as well as the Pacific Rim. Tim is a graduate of the University of Illinois, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in economics, with an emphasis in statistical analysis, while minoring in computer science and information systems.

Dennis entered the transportation industry in 1992 with experience in sales, warehousing and scheduling. He has more than 26 years of customer relations experience and graduated cum laude, with double degrees in business administration and history from Kent State University in Ohio. Dennis is trained and certified in “Transportation, Logistics and the Law,” as well as “Freight Claims in Plain English.”

Vice President Business Development/Process Improvement

Heidi grew up in the transportation industry and has more than 10 years of experience in all departments of 3PL management, from data entry to audit to rate negotiations and general operations. She has been nominated for the Women in Business award from the OC Business Journal and is very active helping charities such as Women Helping Women and Orangewood Children’s Foundation, to name a few. Heidi is a graduate of Lean Six Sigma, has been trained and tested in compliance with hazardous materials and is a certified customs brokerage expert.
